FIELD: biotechnologies.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and is intended for producing biodegradable copolymers of 3-hydroxybutyric and 4-hydroxybutyric acids [P(3GB/4GB)], possessing the properties of elastomers, promising for different spheres of application in medicine, pharmacology. Method provides cultivation of natural strain Cupriavidus eutrophus VKPM V-10646 or natural Ralstoniaeutropha strain VKPM V8562 on growth medium containing oleic acid in combination with glycerine or oleic acid in combination with sunflower oil, or glycerin in combination with sunflower oil with additives of precursor substrate as primary carbon source with simultaneous limitation of growth of bacteria on nitrogen and sulphur. Substrate used is a precursor 1,4-butane diol in combination with chlorobutyric acid. Note here that 1,4-butane diol and chlorobutyric acid are introduced once or twice, or three times.;EFFECT: invention enables to obtain technological elastic articles, increase yield and reduce crystallinity of copolymer with stable molecular weight values.;1 cl, 7 dwg, 2 tbl, 7 ex
