FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and represents a method of diagnosing the aetiology of recurring acute rhinopharyngitis and adenoiditis in infants and preschool children, which includes the identification of proinflammatory and proallergic interleukins in nasal secretion, namely interleukin-1-beta (IL-1beta), interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA), interferon-alpha (INF-alpha) and tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), characterised by the fact that the more than twofold increase of the content of INF-alpha, TNF-alpha and IL-1beta relative to normal values represents a diagnostic criterion of the viral aetiology of recurring acute rhinopharyngitis and adenoiditis, and the increase of IL-4 content higher than 26 ng/ml and IL-1RA higher than 1000 ng/ml represents a diagnostic criterion for the infectious-allergic aetiology of recurring acute rhinopharyntitis and adenoiditis.;EFFECT: realisation of the invention provides an increase of diagnostics efficiency.;2 cl, 4 dwg, 3 tbl, 2 ex
