The invention relates to discharge lamps and more particularly to design short arc xenon lamp with a straight tubular sheath colorless sapphire, for use as a radiating element composed installed on board an aircraft to counter the optoelectronic device (EIA) infrared homing guided missile.; The peculiarity of the proposed construction consists in that the discharge chamber of the lamp a reflector in the form of a disk, disposed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the discharge chamber and provided with a through central opening, which is rigidly fixed to the cathode.
