The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for providing augmented reality based on a children′s song collection. The apparatus comprises: the children′s song collection (10) on which a specific melody score (11) and an AR code (15) are printed; an image acquiring unit (20) which shoots the children′s song collection (10) to acquire an actual image of the children′s song collection (10); a content storing unit (30) which stores various tangible contents that correspond to the multiple children′s song collections; a melody storing unit (40) which stores information on various melodies that correspond to the children′s song collections; a tracking unit (50) which recognizes the AR code (15), the melody score (11) and the movement of the actual image of the children′s song collection (10) that are acquired by the image acquiring unit (20); an augmented image processing unit (60) which reflects the AR code (15), the melody score (11) and the movement of the actual image recognized by the tracking unit (50) and processes the tangible contents to follow a dance routine according to the melody and moves according to the movement of the children′s song collection (10); and a rendering unit (70) which renders the tangible contents processed by the augmented image processing unit (60) and synthesizes the rendered tangible contents and the actual image of the children′s song collection (10) to provide an augmented reality image (R).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
