The present invention relates to a method for preparing a material made from titanium dioxide supported on natural clay by solvent-free mechanosynthesis, to the use of such a material as a photocatalyst, in particular for decontaminating gaseous or liquid media of organic pollutants, and to a method for decontaminating gaseous or liquid media implementing such a photocatalyst under ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
