A seismic reinforcing structure for existing buildings comprises: a plurality of shaft members 22, the distal ends of which are inserted into an existing building; a steel member 23 that has a plurality of insertion holes 28 into which the basal ends of the plurality of shaft members 22 can be loosely fit; a holding part 31 that is mounted to the basal end of a shaft member 22A inserted into an insertion hole 28A and that holds the steel member 23; a retaining part 34 that is provided in a position nearer to the basal end than the steel member 23 on the basal end portion of a shaft member 22B inserted into an insertion hole 28B; and a concrete body 24 that is integrated with the existing building by including the steel member 23 therein.
