This invention relates to safety means for use in underground mining operations, and more particularly to mobile, compact, multi-channel system devices for monitoring mine gas in a mine atmosphere. The technical result is an increase in the accuracy and reliability with which the level of gas contamination is determined in relation to specific coordinates of individual points in a mine passage, and the generation of an overall scanned image at any time in any sector of the mine. The system comprises a set of mobile warning devices, which comprise a sensor of a sensory network of the in-mine environment, base stations for gathering information from said sensors, said base stations being mounted in a passage of the mine, mobile devices and base stations provided with Wi-Fi transceiving devices, at least one controller of a cluster of base stations, which is equipped with devices for digital communication with the base stations and with headquarters, an aboveground router and an underground router. A unit for determining the level of a signal from the mobile warning devices additionally comprises a unit for analysing signals from the mobile warning devices and contamination level signals. The base stations for gathering information are mounted in the passages of a mine such that at each point in a passage a signal can be received from at least two base stations.
