A method of detecting blood plasma schizandrin B after administration ofFuzheng Huayu(FZHY) is disclosed. The method includes: (1) extracting schizandrin B fromplasma of amammal administered FZHY by ethyl acetate with the ratio 1:4, whirling 3-5mins,centrifuging at 9600rpm for mins, drying and enriching the upper layer at 25-30 °C, andredissolving with mobile phase; (2) UPLC/MS measuring wherein the UPLCconditioncomprises an Acquity UPLC BEH C18, 2.1 x 100 mm chromatographic column, mobilephase A comprising water-acetonitrile-formic acid at a ratio (v/v/v) of95:5:0.1, and mobilephase B comprising acetonitrile-formic acid at a ratio (v/v) of 100:0.1; andthe MScondition comprises an electric spraying ion source (ESI) detecting withpositive ion modeand scanning at the range of rn/z 150-1200. The method can be used forpharmacokineticsstudies of schizandrin B after administration of FZHY.
