Provided in the present invention is an venous indwelling needle (200), comprising a catheter base (21) equipped with a indwelling catheter (211), a protective base (22), a puncture needle base (23) equipped with a puncture needle (231), a withdrawing member (25) and a pushing base (24). The puncture needle (231) is able to expose from the front end of the indwelling catheter (211) and the pushing base (24) is able to slide back and forth on the protective base (22). Before puncturing, the pushing base (24) is pushed forward to socket the withdrawing member (25) onto the puncture needle base (23). After finishing puncturing, the pushing base (24) is pushed backward to pull the puncture needle base (23) along with the socketed withdrawing member (25) backward, so that the puncture needle (231) on the puncture needle base (23) is moved back into the protective base (22). Therefore, the venous indwelling needle can prevent health care workers from being accidentally stabbed by a used puncture needle (231).
