摘要

The proposed solution consists of a smart, portable online classifier unit that can differentiate between other power system transients and anomalous situations that can unintentionally island a distribution feeder section having high solar PV penetration. The PV inverter can thus be made to learn to preemptively detect and avoid formation of an unintentional island or activate timely change in operation mode and operate an island with acceptable power quality. Thus this utility provides a low cost computing solution that is portable and can be retrofitted in existing grid connected solar PV inverters Apart from this, a low-cost realtime hardware based platform has been proposed that can be easily integrated with digital power system models to study and analyze the islanding behavior and explore other such anomalous occurrences in high PV penetration distribution networks.
