The invention relates to a system and method in the field of strategic management to facilitate environmental scanning for strategy formulation and a strategic audit scorecard for periodic environmental scanning of an organization so that best fit strategy can be chosen that provide the management in an organization with a comprehensive view of the current market scenario so that opportunities can be fully exploited with the aim of maximizing profits and perceived value to the customer through the optimum use of resources. It relates to a tool that provides for environmental scanning in a constantly changing environment so that any new opportunity which emerges in the market can also be exploited. It relates to a system and method in the field of strategic management to facilitate environmental scanning for strategy formulation that can be customized for the needs of any organization indulged in any or various kinds of business activities.
