A 1:8 scale model of IJT along with the dynamically modeled drop tank was tried out to study the trajectory of the drop tank when released under influence of gravity. The details of trajectory simulation along with the model preparation, test setup, instrumentation and the simulated relations are depicted. Limited tests have been carried out to validate the simulations with only one drop tank representing both empty and full conditions. The trajectories were captured using digital camera & high speed camera. This technique is very useful in understanding the trajectory of the stores released under various attitudes of the model qualitatively in a very simple, novel and swift way without any special test equipments.
