The invention proposed a test system for performing direct numerical simulation based on images to determine the petrophysical properties of a rock sample under simulated deformation conditions, reflecting, for example, subsurface conditions. The digital volumetric image corresponding to x-ray tomographic images of a rock sample is broken down into significant elastic phases, such as the pore space, the clay fraction, the contact areas of the grains and the type of mineral, after which an unstructured finite element mesh is superimposed on it. A simulated deformation is superimposed on a segmented volumetric image, and the resulting deformed unstructured mesh is analyzed numerically, for example, by direct numerical simulation, in order to determine the required petrophysical properties.
