"frequency diversity controlled remote initiation system". a detonation system (10) comprises a wireless connection (18) between a detonation controller (12) and a plurality of electronic detonators (22.1 to 22.n). each detonator comprises a respective electronic initiator (24) and an explosive charge (26). Primers are stored by means of a carrier carrying a first signal having a first frequency (f ~ 1) in the order of 400 MHz to 500 MHz and which is broadcast via the knock controller. each initiator further comprises logic circuits driven by a clock signal that is derived from the first signal and which has a clock frequency of about 4 kHz, which is substantially lower than the first frequency.
