PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To industrially stably manufacture an oriented electromagnetic steel sheet having excellent properties by drastically reducing variations of magnetic properties with depositing silicon nitride (Si3 N4) and increasing the amount of carbon in the steel by using carbonitriding, and using the silicon nitride and a solid solution C together as restraints of normal particle growth.;SOLUTION: When an oriented electromagnetic steel sheet is manufactured by using a steel slab having a composition containing C:0.08% or less, Si:2.0 to 4.5% and Mn:0.5% or less by mass%, S, Se and O with each limited to less than 50 ppm, sol.Al with limited to less than 100 ppm, further N with limited in a range of [sol.Al]×(14/27)ppm≤N≤80 ppm and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities as a raw material, a retention time in a temperature range of 300 to 800°C in a temperature rising process in a secondary recrystallization annealing is secured for 5 hours or more after a carbonitriding treatment is conducted to make the amount of nitrogen 50 ppm to 1000 ppm and the amount of carbon 50 ppm to 250 ppm after a primary recrystallization annealing concurrently serving as a subscale formation but before an initiation of the secondary recrystallization annealing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
