PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic device and a resonance sound reduction method which detect a frequency band in which an unpleasant tone (resonance sound) occurs and reduce a component in that frequency band from a reproduction signal, making it possible to reduce the occurrence of the unpleasant tone easily.;SOLUTION: A frequency response measurement unit 6 measures the admittance of a speaker 2 and the second and third order distortion frequency response of a current flowing in the speaker 2. From the measured admittance and second and third order distortion frequency response, a control unit 7 detects a frequency band in which a resonance sound occurs.
