PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of growing human mesenchymal stem cells in vitro, an adjuvant used for the same, a method of extracting a human mesenchymal stem cell growth factor in vitro, and applications of the growth factor.SOLUTION: A human mesenchymal stem cell culture additive adjuvant contains at least one antioxidant, and fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2). Accordingly, when the adjuvant is added into a culture medium containing human mesenchymal stem cells and it is cultured in a normal oxygen environment (about 21% oxygen partial pressure), phenomena appear such as fast cell division, increased cell cycle synthetic phase (S phase) proportion, reduced aging, and enhanced differentiation potency. Consequently, the method not only enables growth of human mesenchymal stem cells and extraction of the growth factor but can also ensure multifunctional properties of the stem cells, allowing use in human mesenchymal stem cell culture and growth applications.
