PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book information retrieval device or the like capable of efficiently retrieving a book including an index term that co-occurs with a retrieval keyword of a user.;SOLUTION: A terminal detects input of a retrieval keyword by a user and transmits it to a server (S101). The server retrieves book information including the retrieval keyword received from the terminal (S102), retrieves a sentence set including the retrieval keyword further from the retrieved book information (S103), and extracts a term that appears in an index of the book information as a co-occurrence index term from the retrieved sentence set (S104). Then, books are rearranged in the descending order of the number of times of appearance of the co-occurrence index term, importance of the books is calculated (S105), and the co-occurrence index term and the book information are transmitted to a terminal 2 on the basis of a calculation result (S106).
