Provided are a method for analyzing nitrogen in a metal sample, an apparatus for analyzing nitrogen in the metal sample, a method for adjusting the nitrogen concentration in molten steel, and a method for producing steel, which accurately and inexpensively quantitate the content of nitrogen in the metal sample. The method for analyzing nitrogen in a metal sample according to the present invention includes a melting step in which a metal sample containing a nitrogen component is melted by impulse heating in an argon gas atmosphere, and the nitrogen component is vaporized, and a nitrogen gas generated from the melting step And an analysis step of analyzing the argon gas by a gas discharge luminescence method to quantify nitrogen in the metal sample. Analyze the nitrogen concentration of the sample collected from the molten steel by the above analysis method, determine the processing conditions for adjusting the nitrogen concentration based on the nitrogen analysis value obtained by the analysis, and adjust the nitrogen concentration in the molten steel .
