PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening device between a rail and a sleeper, the device that is structured to receive a live load to the rail received from a wheel by the bottom of the rail and to sandwich the rail with a left and a right claws in the traveling of a railway vehicle, is provided with both of the reduction effect of deviation of a rail gauge and the effect of creeping stopper (anti-slip), and in which, conventionally, when the rail is fixed to the sleeper by using a spring-type fastening device, the rail is fixed while being pressed down to the sleeper by a steel spring, and therefore, the deviation may gradually be caused in the rail gauge when the railway vehicle passes the rail frequently every hour and every day.;SOLUTION: A fastening device of the present invention is structured to directly receive a load of a rail, even if the rail is fixed to the sleeper like a conventional fastening device. Accordingly, a live load or a wheel load of the vehicle via the rail is directly transmitted from a wheel to the rail, from the rail to the fastening device, and also, from the fastening device to the sleeper, and the device is structured to conversely use the friction generated in each place.
