PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to simply estimate soil biochemical characteristics such as available nitrogen and available phosphoric acid contents in soil.;SOLUTION: A method, which estimates soil biochemical characteristics with air-dried soil as a test object by irradiating the test object with excitation light and analyzing a fluorescence spectrum from the test object, comprises the steps of: identifying quantitative values of respective soil biochemical characteristics through a quantitative analysis of plural types of evaluation soil having different characteristics; acquiring the fluorescence spectrums of respective evaluation soil by irradiating the same with the excitation light and calculating fluorescence analytical values by analyzing the fluorescence spectrums; and creating a standard curve between the soil biochemical characteristics and the fluorescence analytical values from a correlation between the quantitative values of the soil biochemical characteristics and the fluorescence analytical values. Then, the method includes a step of analyzing the soil biochemical characteristics of the test object from the fluorescence analytical value obtained through the fluorescence spectrum analysis thereof on the basis of the standard curve.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
