PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte of a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element for low illuminance, which is arranged so that an output of a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element under a low illuminance condition can be maintained sufficiently, and the rise in the output of the dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element can be sufficiently suppressed under a high illuminance condition; and a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element arranged by use of such an electrolyte.SOLUTION: An electrolyte of a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element for low illuminance comprises: a halogen; a halide salt which forms a redox pair in combination with the halogen; and a halogenated silver. In the electrolyte, the concentration of the halogenated silver is 0.0001-10 mM.SELECTED DRAWING: None
