PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halide scintillator material suitable for manufacturing a scintillation detector used in fields of medical imaging and national security.SOLUTION: A halide scintillator material is single crystalline and has a composition represented by general formula ABX(wherein A is an alkali; B is an alkaline earth; and X is a halide). Especially, a crystal represented by formula ACaEuI(wherein A=K, Rb, Cs) is doped with bivalent europium (wherein 0≤y≤1). The crystal is formed similarly to a crystal represented by formula CsAEuX(wherein A=Ca, Sr, Ba or a combination thereof; X=Cl, Br, I or a combination thereof). Eu doping is 1-10 mol%. The crystal grows in a furnace of a vertical temperature gradient coagulation method.
