PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a follow-up device and a machine tool in which consumption power during standby state can be reduced and their energy-saving can be attained, and an operational method for the follow-up device at the machine tool.;SOLUTION: This invention comprises a plurality of hydraulic devices including hydraulic balance cylinders 18L, 18R; a main hydraulic unit 20 having a main hydraulic pump 23 for supplying hydraulic oil to the hydraulic device in operation and a pump motor 24; and a follow-up hydraulic unit 40 connected in parallel with an oil supply line S of the main hydraulic unit 20 and having a follow-up hydraulic pump 43 and a pump motor 44 showing lower output than that of the main hydraulic pump 23 and the pump motor 24. When one or more of a plurality of hydraulic devices is operated, hydraulic oil is supplied from the main hydraulic pump 23 and the pump motor 24 to the hydraulic device and when the plurality of hydraulic devices are kept stopped, hydraulic oil is supplied from the follow-up hydraulic pump 43 and the pump motor 44 to the hydraulic devices in place of the main hydraulic pump 23 and the pump motor 24 so as to keep pressure of hydraulic oil of the hydraulic devices during waiting.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
