PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic stainless steel excellent in high temperature oxidation resistance, high temperature creep strength, volume fraction of deposition amount of a Laves phase and high temperature tensile strength under high temperature and corrosion burning gas environment.SOLUTION: There is provided a ferritic stainless steel excellent in high temperature oxidation resistance, high temperature creep strength and high temperature tensile strength, containing, by mass%, C:0.04% or less, Si:0.40 to 1.20%, Mn:0.01 to 0.40%, P:0.040% or less, S:0.030% or less, Cr:18.00 to 25.00%, Al:0.60 to 1.40%, Ti:0.10 to 0.90%, Nb:0.10 to 1.20%, N:0.03% or less and further one of Mo and W:0.50 to 3.00% or both of Mo and W:0.50 to 3.00%, satisfying (Si+Al):1.00 to 2.60% and (Ti+Nb):4(C+N) to 1.60% in a range of the chemical component described above with the balance consisting of Fe with inevitable impurities.SELECTED DRAWING: None
