摘要

Developed procedure obtaining brominated multi-walled carbon nanotubes comprising covalently bound bromine atoms, the invention consists in the fact that previously obtained in the oxidation with 30% hydrogen peroxide, native multi-walled carbon nanotubes, functionalized with carboxyl groups is reacted with liquid bromine, heating them at 30°C for 5 to 10 days, to obtain a multi-walled carbon nanotubes functionalized bromine atoms, linked covalently. The resulting crude product is purified in accordance with the following procedure according to the invention:Dispersion in distilled water and centrifugation at 9000 rpm. for 10 min and decanting the liquid layer from over the nanotubes.The addition of the methanol to the residue, and centrifugation for 10 min. at 9000 rpm. and decanting the methanol from over the nanotubes.The residue was placed in the oven for a minimum 12 hours at. 65° C.Benzene was added in to the remaining sample, centrifuged for 10 min. at 9000 rpm., benzene was decanted and the precipitate is maintained for a minimum 12 hours in an oven at 80°C.
