The invention relates to a mobile construction site surveying device (38), with a connection for receiver equipment (40) for determining a position by means of electromagnetic signals, a memory (61) for storing geographical information relating to the construction site, and an output device (62) for outputting the geographical information relating to the construction site, characterized in that the mobile construction site surveying device (38) comprises an interface (60) by means of which signals from at least one device mounted on a construction machine, particularly on an excavator (40), can be supplied to said interface.
