Filter cascade has filter path (FP1,FP2) with decimated filter (F 0,F 1,F 2). Sample value from all sample values of output signals lying on filter output (A 0,A 1,A 2) of individual decimated filter of respective filter path comes into application on same sampling instance of an input signal lying on inlet (E) of respective filter path. Sample value lies around a number of sample time instances from the beginning of stimulation of respective filter path which corresponds to filter length L, reduced to 1, of a substitute filter comprising all decimated filters of respective filter path.
