The method involves piping a gas by a reactor (2). The thermoelectric modules (4) divide the reactor in segments along the pass through direction of the reactor. The thermoelectric modules are provided in the reactor. The thermoelectric modules are supported with electrical energy by a controller for quenching a gas stream passing through the reactor. An independent claim is also included for a device for condensation and separation of propane and butane.
