A sound-damping cover (2) consists of a magnetic filling material (23) of foam and containing in a three-dimensional shape in one piece is shaped in such a way that they are at least a part of an associated element (4) covereth, which represents a noise emission. The sound proofing cover (2) comprises side walls (20), which side faces of the associated cover element (4), and a bottom wall (21), which covers a bottom surface of the associated element, which combine with the side surfaces of the associated element (4) crosses. The magnetic filling material (23) is in each case in the direction of the thickness of the side walls (20) and the bottom wall (21) aligned. The sound proofing cover (2) does not have to be made of a spread-out blank to a three-dimensional shape be assembled and thus has a desired sound damping ability as well as excellent reflectivity, and storage stability. A noise reduction assembly (1) contains the sound-damping cover (2) and a fastening cover (3), which on the outer circumferential surface of the sound-absorbing cover (2) is attached and the sound proofing cover (2) and the associated element (4), which one of the sound-damping cover (2) constitutes source of noise which is covered, on a base (9) fastened.
