FIELD: metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: three-layered hollow centrifugal cast billets are cast from difficult-to-deform steel grades and alloys, which are cladded with ductile steels of carbon grades, with the size of 400-650×3200±100 mm with the ratio of thicknesses of ductile layers, which is restricted by mathematical relationship, their heating is performed to the temperature that is higher by 10-20°C than ductility temperature interval of difficult-to-form steel grades and alloys and rolling on the pilger mill with swaging as to the diameter, the value of which is decreased from 180 to 100 mm with increase of pipe diameter. Seeding on the pipe length equal to length of recoil of a supply unit is performed with supply of the billet to the deformation zone, which is equal to (0.5-0.7) of supply value munit at the steady-state rolling process, and rolling of the pilger head with supply equal to (1.1-1.25) munit.;EFFECT: reduction of consumption of expensive metal; increase of efficiency of a pipe rolling unit with pilger mills; reduction of pipe cost.
