The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for providing immersive travel guide information and generating a travel story book, the apparatus comprising: a communications unit which is connected to and communicates with a server unit providing at least one among guide information and information about story book generation, by a wire or wireless manner; a time and position information detecting unit which detects the current position and time information from information provided by a GPS satellite or a mobile communications system; a camera unit which takes a movie or a still image; and a control unit which performs at least one among detecting the start of travel and outputting, when the travel is started, travel guide information corresponding to the current position information, and combining the taken movie or still image or the information provided by the server unit to generate a travel story book of preset format.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
