In the present invention, disclosed is an apparatus for protecting a superconducting magnet of an ECR ion source for a heavy ion accelerator. The apparatus for protecting the superconducting magnet of the ECR ion for the heavy ion accelerator according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the superconducting magnet which is formed by winding a coil and generates a high magnetic field around the superconducting magnet if a current flows at a very low temperature, and a support unit which supports the superconducting magnet and suppress deformation due to mechanical stress generated by the high magnetic field and the thermal contraction of the superconducting magnet.
