The present invention relates to a cartridge-type hollow fiber membrane module, as a cartridge-type hollow fiber membrane module including a hollow fiber membrane unit module and a cartridge frame having free ends, which comprises: a manifold, wherein the upper edge of the hollow fiber membrane unit module having the free ends is sealed, and an opened lower edge is fixated by focusing a plurality of hollow fiber membranes; a water collection header comprising one side or two opposite facing sides of 4 sides of the cartridge frame with the opened upper and lower sides; and a water treatment port positioned on both ends of the manifold, and the water collection header communicated with each other, wherein a plurality of hollow fiber membrane unit modules arranged in parallel in a horizontal direction of the water collection header. The possibility of rupture of a hollow fiber membrane having free ends is reduced to manage for a long period of time.
