The present invention provides an anode material having excellent thermochemical stability and high electric conductivity. The anode material, according to one embodiment of the present invention, contains a compound represented by chemical formula QBaMn_2O_(5+), wherein Q includes yttrium or one or more elements selected from a lanthanum group; O is oxygen; is a positive number smaller than or equal to 1 and is a value satisfying electroneutrality in the QBaMn_2O_(5+) compound.
