The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing carbon nanotubes coated with polydopamine and carbon nanotubes coated with polydopamine manufactured thereby and, more specifically, to a method for manufacturing carbon nanotubes coated with polydopamine, which reduces coating process time and performs uniform coating by coating carbon nanotubes with polydopamine in a short time under an oxygen atmosphere and improves dispersion in an aqueous system. Accordingly, the carbon nanotubes coated with polydopamine according to the manufacturing method of the present invention have a thin coating layer with a thickness of 1.7-2 nm and are able to be applied in mass production of carbon nanotubes/polymer composites since dispersion in an aqueous system is extremely improved.
