The purpose of the present invention is to provide a diffractive multifocal intraocular lens with a novel structure capable of creating at least three focal points and allowing for increased flexibility in setting the focal positions, and a novel method for manufacturing the diffractive multifocal intraocular lens. The diffractive multifocal intraocular lens is constituted by a plurality of concentric zones, and a part or all of the diffractive structure comprises a first zone region (16) and second zone region (18) which are set on the basis of respective prescribed formulae. The radius of the nth zone in the first zone region (16) and the radius of the mth zone in the second zone region (18) are the same; zones up to the nth zone in the first zone region (16) are disposed inward of the second zone region (18), and zones at and after the (m + 1)th zone in the second zone region (18) are disposed next to the nth zone in the first zone region (16) outward of the first zone region (16).
