The present invention relates to a housing device (100) for a steam turbine and a manufacturing method therefor. The housing device (100) comprises a housing body (101) which extends along an axial direction of a turbine shaft of the steam turbine and has an inner surface (102) facing radially towards the turbine shaft. The inner surface (102) encloses at least partially a working volume, through which a working fluid of the steam turbine can be guided. The housing body (101) has an inner rib (104), which projects from the inner surface (102) in the radial direction (112). The inner rib (104) has an axial surface and a radial surface (105), which is formed adjacent to the axial surface (106). A guide blade carrier of the steam turbine can be fastened to the fastening ring (103). The fastening ring (103) has a first cover region (107) and a second cover region (108), wherein the fastening ring (103) is fastened to the inner rib (104) in such a manner that the first cover region (107) covers the axial surface (106) and the second cover region (108) covers the radial surface (105).
