The objective of the invention is to provide a detection device wherein side-channel attacks can be detected by use of a simple structure. A side-channel attack detection device (1) comprises: a detection means (2) that has a capacitor or a coil (L) serving as an inductor placed in the proximity of an information processing device (3) such as a cipher processing circuit (3a) that is a target of a side-channel attack and that detects a change in inductance of the coil (L) (inductor) or in capacitance of the capacitor; and a determination means (control circuit (5)) that determines, on the basis of an output from the detection means (2), the approach of a probe (7) or the opening of an LSI package done by the side-channel attack.
