The present invention relates to a multiwavelength laser system 1 for ophthalmological applications that comprises a first semiconductor diode laser 10.1 with a first working beam 20.1 that has a first wavelength X1, and at least one second semiconductor diode laser 10.2 with a second working beam 20.2 that has a second wavelength X2. The present invention also relates to am optical waveguide system 2 that comprises at least one fiber-optic system 2b, whereby the working beams 20.1 und 20.2 of a multiwavelength laser system 1 can be coupled into the optical waveguide system 2 by means of the fiber-optic system 2b, and also relates to a method for ophthalmological application of the multiwavelength laser system and/or the optical waveguide system for laser coagulation and/or laser trabeculectomy and selective laser trabeculectomy (SLT).
