A crate made without nails or screws has four wall panels, each havingprofiled projections on eachperimeter edge, and two blind-hole panels each having sets of perimeter holes. Each wall panel has twosets of edge profiles, a set of edge profiles of a wall panel being profileson edges opposite one another. One set on each wall panel engages like edges of the adjacent wall panels, wherein the four panels forma rectangular configuration. The other projections are complementary to theholes. The blind-holepanels are spaced apart at least the width of the rectangular configuration asmeasured from one side tothe other, the height of the projections not included. The six panels are afunctional crate where arestraint maintains the spacing between the blind-hole panels at or near tothe width of the rectangularconfiguration. The interposed joinery of the wall panels precludes a panelbeing pushed inward. Thecrate is quick to assemble; the projections a loose fit in the holes; theprojections and holes made highprecision, all to distribute forces evenly throughout projection to holecontacts arising from inadvertentlarge forces in handling.
