A method for the determination of zinc effect on metabolic processes in postinfarction patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus provides for blood examination. Additionally zinc level in blood serum is determined by atomic absorption spectrometry and levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol are determined in blood serum by enzyme colorimetric method. The results obtained are compared with control and if indices are changed zinc effect on metabolic processes in postinfarction patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is determined.
