PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spectacle lenses that satisfy an astigmatic spectacle wearer more even when presbyopic or not presbyopic.;SOLUTION: The spectacle lenses are determined through optimization steps while not only prescriptions of power, and an amplitude and an axis of astigmatism as to far visual acuity of the wearer, but also prescriptions as to near visual acuity of the wearer are taken into consideration. For the prescriptions as to the near visual acuity, measurements are taken through visual acuity examination on both the eyes in a both-eye viewing state. Consequently, the lenses are defined through the optimization steps using prescriptions of power and astigmatism as to the far visual acuity and near visual acuity as targets along meridians. This invention makes clear change in astigmatism occurring depending upon a condition of viewing (a body is generally farther apart with near visual acuity than with far visual acuity). Change in astigmatism is taken into consideration which occurs due to physiological deformation of the eyeball during rotation of the eyeball in passage from a main visual line direction to a visual line direction adapted to view near.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
