PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting gravity casting apparatus and a tilting gravity casting method using the apparatus.;SOLUTION: In the tilting gravity casting apparatus 1, a die 2 includes a ladle 7, and a molten metal M is reserved in the ladle 7, wherein the molten metal M is poured into a cavity 6 of the die 2 through an ingate 5 when the die 2 is inclined. The tilting gravity casting apparatus 1 includes: a barrier member 18 to intercept the ingate 5; and a pressurizing pin 23 to pressurize the molten metal M of the cavity 6. The ingate 5 has a recessed part 5A that enlarges the passage area only by the predetermined range, and is configured such that the barrier member 18 invades the recessed part 5A, and the ingate 5 is intercepted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
