Provided are a semiconductor photoelectrode for a dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cell that can sufficiently suppress a leakage current from a collecting electrode, and a dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cell using the same and omitting a transparent conductive film. The semiconductor photoelectrode used in the dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cell is composed of a current collector 10 made of a porous metal sheet having pores communicating with the front and back surfaces, and a porous material that is laminated on the current collector 10 and adsorbs a dye.
