PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a reduction in a calculation amount of a friction coefficient and calculate a friction coefficient which can improve simulation accuracy.SOLUTION: A friction coefficient calculation system comprises: motion acquisition means which acquires motion data; friction coefficient characteristic acquisition means which acquires friction coefficient characteristic data indicating a relation between a distance, in a loading direction, that a press tool moves from a position where the press tool contacts with a metal plate due to a movement thereof in the loading direction, and a friction coefficient; and friction coefficient calculation means which calculates the friction coefficient according to lapse time since the press tool first contacts with the metal plate based on the motion data as well as the friction coefficient characteristic data. When the motion data indicates that the press tool moves in the loading direction again after moving a predetermined distance in an unloading direction, the friction coefficient calculation system calculates the friction coefficient from when the press tool moves in the loading direction again based on the friction coefficient characteristic data with the distance reset to zero.
