PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a reference cell which is used for calibrating a power supply system, that measures the photoelectric conversion characteristics of a solar cell, against deterioration due to exposure to simulator light.;SOLUTION: When a solar cell, especially a multi-junction solar cell other than a silicon crystal based solar cell, is measured, a reference cell device 2 is constituted by applying a protective device 4 consisting of a shading member 41 such as a shutter, and its open/close mechanism 42 onto a reference cell 3 if the reference cell 3 consists of a pseudo-cell where an optical filter 32 is stuck onto a stable silicon sensor 31. The measurement control unit 12 of a solar simulator 1 covers the reference cell 3 with the shading member 41 when the photoelectric conversion characteristics of a solar cell is measured, and retracts the shading member 41 when the solar simulator 1 is calibrated. Since unnecessary exposure of the optical filter 32 to UV light component is eliminated, spectral sensitivity characteristics of the pseudo-cell can be stabilized over a long term.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
