PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain, in a liquid phase reaction technique, nickel nanoparticles having a properly high sintering temperature while securing proper size and distribution of the particle size.;SOLUTION: The method for producing ferrioxide-containing metal composite nickel nanoparticles includes: a complexing reaction solution generation step of heating a mixture of nickel carboxylate, iron salt and primary amine to a temperature within the range of 100-165°C to obtain a reaction solution; and a nanoparticle slurry generation step of heating the reaction solution to a temperature of 170°C or higher by microwave irradiation to obtain a metal composite nickel nanoparticle slurry containing ferrioxide. In the nanoparticle containing ferrioxide, the total amount of nickel element, iron element and oxygen element is 95 pts.mass or more relative to 100 pts.mass of the metal composite nickel nanoparticle, the amount of iron element is within the range of 5-50 pts.mass relative to 100 pts.mass of the total amount of nickel element and iron element, the average particle size is within the range of 30-150 nm, and the ferrioxide is mainly composed of triiron tetraoxide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
