PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DNA marker for distinguishing a brand pig Tokyo X of the Tokyo metropolitan and a method for distinguishing a brand pig Tokyo X using the DNA marker. PSOLUTION: Alleles are immobilized in the whole maintained pigs of Tokyo X and 104 markers (polymorphic markers) having high polymorphism are developed in ordinary pigs and Kagoshima Berkshire pigs. Further the brand pigs Tokyo X are actually distinguished in a high discrimination ratio of approximately 98% by using the developed polymorphic marker.
