PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cursor relative position detection method for detecting a coordinate (a cursor) position on an LCD screen where a sight is aligned by a gun controller or the like by providing a light receiving element such as a photodiode without incorporating an imaging device in the gun controller, and to provide a cursor relative position detection device using the method and a gun game machine with the cursor relative position detection.;SOLUTION: At four corners of an LCD screen, infrared LEDs (A)1, (B)2, (C)3 and (D)4 of respectively different light emitting frequencies are disposed. Composite output of the infrared LEDs which have emitted light simultaneously is obtained in a photodiode 5 at prescribed distance from the LCD screen. The composite output is Fourier-transformed to obtain output for each infrared LED, and a coordinate position (a cursor position) on the LCD screen is calculated using a logical function of an FPGA.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
